About me...
Hi, I’m Sarah.
I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I trained with PRO DOGS, and that early exposure sparked a lifelong fascination with how dogs think, feel, and learn.
Today, I’m a dog handler, trainer, and international animal communicator, working with dogs as individuals rather than labels or problems. I believe great training is built on connection, understanding, and trust, not force or quick fixes.
My approach is rooted in modern, reward-based training, informed by learning theory, body language, and emotional wellbeing. I’m particularly interested in how a dog’s emotional state shapes behaviour long before a cue is ever given. If a dog feels safe, learning flows. If they don’t, it can’t.
I live in the New Forest and share my life with six dogs of my own: two Labradors, two Spaniels, a Collie, and a Dachshund. Living and training alongside my own dogs every day keeps me grounded, honest, and constantly learning. I love dog walking, watching how they move through the world, and letting that inform how I train.
I’ve trained with MARKA (Kamal Fernandez and Di Martin) and IMDT, (Accredited and Qualified). I am fully insured, follow the IMDT Code of Ethics, and I continue to develop my skills through ongoing study, mentoring, and practical experience. Learning never stops, and I believe our dogs benefit when we stay curious and open-minded.
Alongside pet dog training, I compete in competitive obedience, obreedience and canine rally. My dogs also enjoy scent work, heelwork to music, trick training, scurry, and gun work. I’m also a member of Winchester Dog Training Club, sit on the committee, and was very proud to be a part of the Crufts Rally Judges Team in 2025.
Whether I’m working with a puppy just starting out, a dog struggling with confidence, or a handler wanting to refine their skills, my aim is always the same: to help dogs and people understand each other better and more importantly …. have fun!
If you’re looking for a trainer who will listen, explain, and support both you and your dog, you’re in the right place.
Because great training goes beyond the lead ……. and connection is limitless.

"I love using clicker training and shaping to build understanding, not obedience.

Dogs are encouraged to think, problem-solve, and take an active role in their learning, which in turn fuels their motivation and enjoyment".
